Note
How many kinds creature are in the C&C au? Obviously there's vampires and possibly wolves, but what's the extent of the monsters?
GOOD QUESTION I LOVE U MOOTUAL
you can assume that most mythological/folklore creatures exist, but the extent that they show up is limited, like basilisks or hydras are probably really rare and hard to find.
vampires, werewolves, phantoms (or like ghosts), Fae (elves, pixies, fairies), dwarves, gnomes, yea theyre still real I think . (not monsters but still...)
for stuff like demons and angels idk yet. but basically u can assume that monsters of all kinds exist and vampires are kind of the enemies of humanity so theres a lot of hunters who hunt vampires specifically and not like monsters in general...
dungeons are kind of a thing still, but mostly a thing of the past. theyre mostly ruins or uncharted territory from ye olden age

Master and Apprentice || Sung Jin-woo (Part 1 of 3)
Siren!Jin-woo x Deaf!Omega!reader
Tumblr media
A/N - Hello everyone! This fic was inspired by the lovely @forbidden-sunlight's siren!au. We both collaborated on this piece and it serves as a direct sequel to her imagine, so do be sure to check it out first! This story picks up right where her imagine left off.
╰┈➤ Prequel by @forbidden-sunlight
Content warnings: 18+ MDNI, mythical creatures au, canon divergent, a/b/o dynamics, afab!reader, suggestive themes, obsessive thoughts, slightly ooc Jin-woo (he's very reverent towards Ashborn), mentions of violence, death, and despair, forbidden romance (humans and sirens are natural enemies), eventual yandere!Jin-woo.
Word Count - 3.6k
Summary - Sung Jin-woo seeks answers about his potential mate from Ashborn in the deepest depths of the abyss.
Dividers by @anitalenia and @firefly-graphics
After what feels like an eternity, Jin-woo comes to an abrupt stop. He wasn’t tired in the slightest, but he couldn’t finish this journey unless he was in the right frame of mind. If he was going to face the sea monarch, Ashborn, then he needed to compose himself. He was his mentor’s prized disciple, after all.
Resolute in his decision, Jin-woo pinches his brow, shuts his eyes, and releases a deep, suffering sigh. He had to stop ruminating over the useless ‘what ifs’ of his current situation and focus on the matter at hand. You emitting pheromones in his presence was proof enough that you were a compatible mate, but this would be meaningless if you were unreceptive to him. It also begs the question, was humanity even capable of consorting with sirens? In search of an answer, he reminisces about the tales of old passed down by generations of his kin, as well as the many speculations made by humans.
No one knew the exact origins of his species. Most humans assumed the progenitors were Persephone’s handmaidens, punished by Demeter after Hades had taken her daughter to the underworld and forced her into becoming his queen. Some stories also claimed that seafoam  birthed them, but Jin-woo scoffed at this particularly ridiculous rumor. A scholar had recently published an article on how sirens may actually be the offspring of the river deity Achelous and a divine songstress, citing notations from various mythos on this theory. In truth, reality was far simpler than any of these far-fetched narratives.
There was just no definitive explanation for the existence of sirens. They were not interchangeable with the peaceful denizens of the ocean, known as mermaids and mermen. While all fell under the umbrella of the term ‘merfolk,’ the sirens had a far more hostile and bloodstained relationship with humans.
Tumblr media
Since time immemorial, his brethren were viewed as nothing but a scourge upon this world of humanity. Beautiful as a raging typhoon and every bit as devastating, the sirens served as harbingers of doom and destruction for those foolish enough to risk the perilous waters. Their heavenly voices were tantamount to the funeral dirges used to usher the dead into the afterlife. It would be understandable to believe that the sirens were the monsters in this baleful story. However, human nature at its core is fraught with wickedness, and men soon grew wise to the machinations of merfolk.
Odysseus was the first to survive an encounter with sirens. During his voyage to Ithaca, the cunning man had instructed his crew to plug their ears with beeswax, effectively blocking the intoxicating songs that had ended the lives of so many before them. Emboldened by the success of Odysseus’s scheme, other sailors began using this method to conquer the sea and establish trade routes. Within a matter of a couple hundred years, humans not only overcame their fear of sirens, but they also poached them. Huntsmen would capture, torture, and kill Jin-woo’s ancestors simply for crossing paths with them. Worse yet, these scoundrels would often murder merfolk solely to harvest their organs, bones, and scales. They would then use the defiled corpses as ingredients for commodities, medication, and even aphrodisiacs. It was truly grotesque, if not outright barbaric, and more than justified the ire his kind felt towards humanity. While they hunted for the noble sake of survival, men did it for bloodsport and money.
The horrific fates suffered by many of their beloved brothers and sisters particularly infuriated the alphas, with their robust constitutions and natural sense of leadership. With a thirst for vengeance, they began targeting and attacking ships, ports, and even beaches. The alphas considered any place or vehicle that harbored humans as eligible targets. The less temperamental betas remained neutral and avoided the bloodshed, opting to prey upon shoals of fish and other maritime animals instead. Omegas could not join in the hunt, as they were far too precious to lose. They were the most cherished and talented singers amongst the sirens and required around-the-clock protection because of their significant rarity. These were the origins of the current hierarchical structure Jin-woo adhered to.
After recalling the tumultuous history of his people in its entirety, Jin-woo clenches his fists until his knuckles turn white. This was so damn frustrating! Rather than granting him an understanding of his attraction, it just proved all the more why it was so illogical.
Defeated, Jin-woo raises his head, opens his eyes, and continues to swim.
Another hour passes before he finds himself at the ingress of Ashborn’s lair. His enigmatic teacher lived in almost complete obscurity. Devoid of any light, and enveloped by a suffocating aura, this nautical cavern intimidated all who dared to approach it. Well, almost all that is apart from Jin-woo. He effortlessly permeates the invisible barrier designed to keep intruders at bay and ventures into his master’s spiritual domain.
Tumblr media
Despite being an ancient and powerful king of the sea, Ashborn made the strange decision to emulate a land-like environment in his personal chambers.
As Jin-woo manifests into the realm, his appearance gives way to a form more befitting of a land dweller. His tail separates into two legs, his scales smoothen into skin, and he loses the winged fins on his ears and back. Once finished with this metamorphosis, Jin-woo takes a deep breath. Fresh pine, grass, and flowers perfume the air as he’s greeted by a lush valley. It had been a while since he had visited, and the setting had required him to transform into a human. Interestingly, transfiguration was one of the first skills Ashborn taught him. Speaking of his mentor –
“My disciple, it is good to see you again, though you appear…troubled. Tell me, what ails you so?” A rumbling voice rings across the horizon, signaling Ashborn’s approach; the tenebrous essence of the powerful deity contrasting with the greenery of the land. He appears in front of Jin-woo as a great dark knight. Much like his surroundings, Ashborn’s current visage was nothing but an illusion. Even the bravest of warriors said that his lifelike image invoked sheer terror in their hearts.
Many speculate he possesses a massive stature, at least several leagues in height and breadth alone, with piercing eyes and endless tendrils of dark hair. Others claim he is the son of Poseidon, one of the twelve Olympians, and a God of destruction who presided over the sea. However, Jin-woo never once witnessed this side of his teacher in all the years he’s been under his mentorship. Ashborn certainly exuded dignity, but he still displayed a humble attitude. And without fail, he would always appear in that strange, armored suit whenever he was in Jin-woo’s presence.
“My teacher, I must ask for your help on an urgent matter,” Jin-woo starts, anxiously running his tongue across his bottom lip. “This morning, while I was scavenging, I stumbled across the unmistakable aroma of an unmarked omega. It…it was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. As if I was being beckoned by someone or something. I wanted, no, I needed to heed its call.”
Ashborn listens in silence, his expression indiscernible. Jin-woo continued.
“When I arrived, I was in front of a monstrosity of a ship – a yacht right by the sandbanks. At first, I assumed that someone had taken an unfortunate siren captive. But when I finally saw her–”
“You recognized she was human. Not only that, but she belongs to the lowest level of the hierarchy, an omega. Speak if I am wrong, my dear pupil.” Jin-woo lowers his head in shame, fringe obscuring his eyes. This action all but confirms it.
“I don’t know what to do or how to proceed, teacher. Everything I’ve learned about these creatures has made me detest them. But I can’t bring myself to hate her. How could this even be possible? We are not even of the same species. She’s my enemy, my prey…. At least, she’s supposed to be.” His voice lowers into a near whisper as he ends his confused rambling.
“And yet you don’t view her that way, do you child?” Ashborn poses a question he already knows the answer to but needs to hear in his pupil’s own words.
“No, I don’t,” Jin-woo replies grimly. “I yearn to know more about her. And not just that. I want to meet her, court her, and make her mine. If she’ll even have me, that is… So please, teacher, tell me if there is any meaning behind what I feel. Am I destined for something that bears no place in reality?”
Ashborn remains uncharacteristically quiet while faced with such a loaded question. All is eerily silent for a few moments, save for the cheerful chirping of the illusionary songbirds. At last, the monarch gazes at Jin-woo and gives him the answer he so desperately desires.
“It is entirely possible Sung Jin-woo, alpha of Jindo island, for I am proof of such a fantastical circumstance. My first and only love was also a human omega. A woman I devoted my entire being to over a millennium ago.”
Jin-woo’s eyes widened in shock at this revelation. His mentor had fallen in love at some point, and it was with a member of the human race? This was unheard of.
“I never knew you had a lover,” Jin-woo murmurs softly. “What was she like? Do you still remember everything about her after so many years?”
“Let me show you, my disciple. It is a tragic tale that words alone cannot properly convey.” With a wave of Ashborn’s hand, their surroundings began to morph and alter. The valley transforms into a spacious, yet quaint medieval village composed of several wooden houses with a bustling marketplace at its center.
When Jin-woo regains his bearings, he notices his mentor has also metamorphosized. A man with a sun kissed complexion, long dark hair, and a beard stands where he once stood. Though visibly unrecognizable, he was unmistakably Ashborn. A crimson cape was clasped to the pristine silver armor he wore. A paladin. Jin-woo recalls. He had some knowledge of the past lives of men through his rare excursions onto the Mainland. While disguised as a human, Jin-woo once traded in his goods for a textbook on history. He was loath to admit just how intriguing he had found it.
Ashborn speaks, his voice no longer resonating within the confines of shadowy steel.
“It was here in this village that I came across her. She was the only daughter of a peasant farmer. A strong-willed, rapscallion of a woman with a wit sharper than any blade. I can remember her beauty, her warmth, and her tenacity as clear and concise as the day we met.” He says with a wistful gaze. The scene then shifts to a woman in a pure white gown. Her eyes remained hidden, but it did nothing to impede upon her loveliness. The woman runs animatedly towards a man who looks identical to Ashborn’s borrowed likeness and leaps into his arms. The man then effortlessly spins her around before bringing her into a kiss. Jin-woo watches on, mesmerized by what was unfolding in front of him.
“I feared her rejection once she knew the truth of my identity,” Ashborn admits. “On the night we first made love, I finally revealed to her my status as ruler of the sea. However, it did not matter. She loved me wholly and unconditionally, regardless of who or what I was. Such was the strength of her resolve.” In the next instance, they return to the same valley from earlier. What differs this time is that the man and woman are there, unacknowledging of Jin-woo and Ashborn’s presence. Lost in their own special world. The woman has a flower crown on her head, and she sits on the grass, holding the man’s head in her lap. Both appear happy and at ease.
“For the first time in my existence, I experienced true contentment. I long to return to those days, but alas, our bliss did not last.”
Ashborn solemnly shuts his eyes as darkness overtakes the sky and rain falls. The man is now shown standing at a grave with an expression of anguish marring his face. The woman is nowhere to be seen, although Jin-woo knows exactly where she’s at.
“A plague was scourging the land and indiscriminately ending the lives of thousands. I tried to protect her with my magic, but it was to no avail. She fell gravely ill despite my best efforts. I discovered shortly thereafter that omegas were more susceptible to sickness than their contemporaries. If I had known beforehand, I would’ve brought her to the sea with me, away from that damned disease. But I was a fool who was willing to love and live with her as a man, not as a king. And as punishment for my hubris, an ailment snuffed out her life.”
At the end of his recollection, Ashborn’s lair returns to its original state. His mentor had also regained his shadowy exterior. The valley appears completely untouched by time, as if it were still one thousand years in the past. That’s why his lair looks like this. Jin-woo thinks as he finally recognizes its significance, It was their personal sanctuary. After a few moments of silence, Ashborn speaks.
“Although our circumstances are similar, you still have the privilege of choice. I cannot turn back time, nor can I change the past, but I am grateful. I experienced unspeakable grief, yes, but I also would have never encountered such love, tenderness, and passion had I not taken a chance on my omega. You, my disciple, still have free rein over your decision. Should you choose to pursue this woman, you have my blessing and irrefutable proof that she is a viable mate for you. If not, you will still receive my unwavering support in your future endeavors. The choice is yours to make.”
Jin-woo’s throat bobs. He feels an incredible sense of guilt at unearthing his master’s secret.
“My teacher, I apologize for prying into your past. I – I did not mean to bring up painful memories for you. I cannot imagine what you have endured. As of right now, I am not sure what it is I want, but I know for a fact I cannot give up on this human. I will need some time to contemplate and sort out my feelings. If you will excuse me.”
Jin-woo bows his head before turning to take his leave. As he approaches the exit, a sudden thought emerges at the forefront of his mind.
“Teacher, there is one more question I must ask. This human, she does not speak with words. She communicates with her hands and gestures. Is this some type of sorcery or spell that she’s casting?”
“It is most likely sign language, a manner of non-verbal communication used by humans who are unable to vocalize or hear. Perhaps she cannot speak, or has a hearing impairment, so she must express herself through other means.” Ashborn answers, curiosity lacing his voice.
Jin-woo feels his heart sinking. A siren’s serenade played a pivotal role in the mating ritual and was performed just prior to consummating an eternal bond. If what Ashborn said is true, then there is a possibility you could be immune to his song. This meant he wouldn't be able to use it on you when the time came…
He grits his teeth as he remembers your smiling face. Try as he might, Jin-woo just could not get you out of his head, nor was he willing to let you escape his grasp. You may not have realized it yet, but you had unknowingly sunk your fangs into him and the seeds of obsession were already beginning to take root. Rather than being discouraged by Ashborn’s observation, he instead finds himself reinvigorated.
“Teacher, disregard everything I said earlier. I now know what it is I must do.”
Ashborn peers into the eyes of his disciple, relieved by the determination that lights them. This was much more like the obstinate young man he knew.
“I choose to seek this omega and stake my claim, no matter what challenges may await the two of us,” Jin-woo proclaims proudly. “I will make her mine, but only if she consents to my proposal. And if not through song, then through other courtship methods. I am strong, stronger than any other alpha in my territory, and I know I can protect her from all who would wish her harm. I won’t let my mate slip through my fingers.”
“But what of maladies and the passage of time? You can fight against gods and monsters until the end of your days, but sickness or her ephemeral lifespan will not spare this young woman. In the end, your time with her shall be fleeting.” Ashborn ruthlessly counters Jin-woo’s declaration of protection.
Jin-woo bites his lip, not expecting this development. However, before he can muster a response, his mentor graces him with an answer.
“I know of one way you can overcome this. There is a recipe for an elixir known as the Holy Water of Life. It is a miraculous potion that can imbue invulnerability to communicable diseases, extend lifespan, and transform the consumer into a siren. I unfortunately did not have knowledge of such a panacea while I was with my love. Of course, I live with the regret of not discovering it sooner, as now I have no such use for it, but this does not mean I will idly stand by and let history repeat itself with my protégé.”
With a flash of light, an ancient scroll appears in front of Jin-woo. It unravels by itself to reveal its contents to him. Jin-woo’s eyes widen as he reads. Is this…?
“Behold. The ingredients for crafting the Holy Water of Life. I bequeath this boon unto you, my disciple. However, heed my warning as the acquisition of these components requires you to conquer all 100 floors of the Demon’s Castle and to defeat its king, Baran. This is a treacherous dungeon that may claim your life if you are unprepared for it, but it can also impart you with unspeakable power should you prevail.”
Jin-woo perks up at this information, his interest now fully piqued. “Tell me, master, where can I find the Demon’s Castle?”
“It hides far away, in the city of Seoul, within an incorporeal dominion. It is a flame-ridden landscape that will require you to assume the form of a human to enter the castle. Knowing all the risks it entails; do you still accept my offer?”
“I do,” Jinwoo confidently states.
“Very well,” Ashborn nods his assent, and a key materializes into Jin-woo’s palm.
“Use this key to open the gate to the Demon’s Castle. I have also implanted it with the coordinates to the dungeon’s location. You need only close your eyes and grasp onto the key to visualize it.”
Following the instructions, Jin-woo sees a map that details the exact distance from his current whereabouts to the metropolitan area of Seoul. It will be a lengthy trip, even with his impressive swimming prowess. He estimates it will take roughly half a day to arrive at his destination. Undeterred, Jin-woo presses onward.
“Teacher, I cannot thank you enough for all your help and guidance over these last few years. I give you my word; I will return alive and well, both with the elixir and Baran’s head. And then I will meet with the omega and court her in earnest.”
He departs without another word, although his promise relays an unspoken farewell between them. After some time passes, Ashborn stares at the vast skies of his domain and muses to himself.
“You have grown so much from when I rescued you from the Cartenon Temple all those years ago, Sung Jin-woo. I could not be prouder of you, my disciple. Till our next encounter.”
Tumblr media
12 hours later...
Jin-woo finally emerges from the dark, briny waters that frame Seoul’s coastline.
After leaving Ashborn’s lair, he briefly returned home to pack and prepare for the journey ahead. Both Jin-ah and his mother were worried about his sudden departure, so he did the best he could to assuage their fears by giving them a sanitized version of the truth.
Jin-woo claimed Ashborn had provided him with a list of rare ingredients that were only available for purchase in the human markets at Seoul. He even promised to bring back a box of chocolates as a souvenir, something his mother and little sister had enjoyed during one of his return trips to the surface. He then traveled the full 413-kilometer distance from Jindo-gun to Seoul, stopping only for a few hours to rest and recuperate.
As he approaches land, he assumes the form of a naked human man and walks inland from the sea. However, Jin-woo comes to a halt when he becomes more aware of his current state of nudity. While it didn’t bother him, it would cause a lot of unnecessary trouble if any nosy beachgoers happened upon him and asked questions. It is also…pretty embarrassing to admit that he is…wobbly on these legs. Very much so.
He quickly summons his magical inventory and grabs a simple black t-shirt, boxers, fitted jeans, and athletic sneakers (‘Adidas’, the portly sales attendant had called them). As worthless as he found human decorum to be, Jin-woo needed to remain as inconspicuous as possible while he was in disguise. Once dressed, he strolled into the city. After 45 minutes, he found himself at the designated street junction on the map. Taking a deep breath, he brings forth the key, turns it, and unlocks the gate.
⚓︎ To be continued...

Hey guys!!
about the previous Gravity Falls edit about Monster Falls au, I want to do some clarification and some yapping of the Au!
so firstly, yes this is a tad different from the original concept of the AU, the Og uses some traits and personalities to deepen understanding as to why they are all other creatures despite a blood-related family
in this concept, twins are VERY stuck out in the Pines family. every twin that came out in the family was and always will be merfolk or water spirits such as Siren and a cervitaur!
I took this concept because the whole show is surrounded by the live of two pairs of twins! and well...i look into it too much(^///^)
Tumblr media
Now in my post, someone asked a good question! How does stan still faked his death??
Now, I do a little bit of research and something like that, and turns out that based on Greek mythology (if wrong please correct me) not many creatures are able to resist a siren’s song! And since one of the abilities of that song is “Visual Illusions”
Stan used that for at least 30 years before finally stopping the song! Only Ma Pines knows that it was him, but she keeps her mouth shut because she loves him and knows that Stanley wouldn’t do anything as extreme as pretending to be Ford, while also faking his death
But doesn't it get a bit tiring to sings all day for 30 years? Of course! But Gravity Falls is the home of many powerful deities and nymphs! That is the difference between the outside world and gravity falls! Stan will have an item that helps him to keep on the song playing on and on as he gives tours, interact, etc!
I'm still thinking about what to do with the deities and nymphs!!

thank you for coming to my tedtalk! :D

I have too many aus already but my brain’s thinking
AU where Quesadilla Island is instead a small town that’s known for being a hub for the supernatural
The Federation is a group brought into the town that is made up of, essentially, monster hunters who aim to ‘protect’ the regular human townsfolk. Feelings among the townsfolk about the Federation are mixed. Some support their mission, others are more dubious but still kind to the Federation workers, and others believe they’re making the town more unsafe
Unknown to the Federation, there are a few supernatural beings living right under their noses, pretending to be ordinary people
Charlie Slimecicle is a werewolf
He refers to his wolf form as Slarf. Slarf is a black wolf, with piercing red eyes
He works out and eats a ridiculous amount of protein partially so he can brush off his supernatural strength as a product of his routine
No one knows he’s a werewolf, not even his partner Mariana or best friend and roommate Baghera, and he desperately wants to keep it that way
At some point, he out of nowhere ‘adopts’ a daughter called JuanaFlippa. She’s actually a young orphaned werewolf who got very attached Slarf on a full moon night and now refuses to leave Charlie’s side
Cellbit is a vampire
Not born one, but bitten. He has a sister who is human
His son Richarlyson and his boyfriend Roier are the only ones who know what he is
He gets a job at the Federation to gain information, and with the hopes it’ll reduce any suspicion placed on him - but it potentially does the opposite, now regularly having their eyes on him
When he needs to feed, he tends to target Federation workers to kill two birds with one stone
BadBoyHalo and Tina are demons
They are on earth for different reasons, and they both know about each other
Bad is there to mentor a young demon, Dapper, and teach him about humans
Tina is far more secretive about why she’s living on earth. She’s close friends with Mouse, the only person aside from Bad who knows what she is
Both are close friends (or frenemies in Bad’s case) with Foolish - which becomes potentially dangerous when he gets hired to work for the Federation
Speaking of Foolish, he’s actually merfolk
A shark merman to be specific. He’s also King of the Merfolk, aka KOM. His status grants him immortality and the ability to change his form to have legs. With his long lifespan, the decades he spends in the town are just like a brief vacation to him
Already knows Bad isn’t human - he remembers seeing Bad hanging around on earth a few times over the past hundreds of years. He doesn’t know about Tina
He has a child, his little princess Leo, who likes to hang out with him on land. His husband, Vegetta, tends to spend a lot of time busy in their underwater kingdom
His human roommate, Jaiden, knows about him - they tell each other everything
Joined the Federation both for fun, and like Cellbit to get info and get suspicion off of himself
Philza is an angel
Angel of Death specifically
Feels rather safe despite being a supernatural being due to not being as ‘dangerous’ as others, meaning he likely isn’t a number one target of the Federation. He’s not demonic, legend doesn’t say he lures people to drown in oceans, he doesn’t lose control and attack people, he doesn’t need to go on killing sprees to survive
Not to mention his connection to gods and deities gives him safety and places of refuge
The biggest issue he has is hiding his wings. Aside from that, he’s pretty comfortable living with his human partner and children
Absolutely knows Something Is Up with the other five but doesn’t know for sure what. He’s not a narc, so he doesn’t ask

Finally, I finished my first batch of merbaes for my trolls mermaid au. It took me a few days to finish this, with a little help from my list. I also give them mersona names and magical gifts to match them as well. I’ll work on the bio of their species later because they’re all a part of a specie called a triton, a species of merfolk who are descended from the sea deities, mainly Triton, the son of Poseidon and Amphitrite. Let me know who should I work on next after I finish the Classical Trolls as goldfish merfolk.
Trolls belong to Dreamworks
Jussy belongs to @jade-green-butterfly
Emi belongs to @groovinyeen and @yeenstrollart

Ok, so little Unpopular Opinion to say the least, but I actually do like The Super Mario Bros Movie with Bob Hoskins (even though most of the Movie's Plots were indeed Shitty and that some of the Character Designs look absolutely nothing like the Original Characters) but what I do like about it is how it takes up a little FairyTale Aestheic Realistic development but on how that despite most of the designs being inaccurate, I like other people's takes on Designs that are Quite Different for their own personal interpretations despite the New Mario Movie coming up which I am exicited to see. As far as I am indeed one of the Few Fans who actually liked the 90s Movie, I decided to put up a little spin around the SMG4 characters if they were in the 90s Movie Universe. Inspired by a Few Out there who have done their own personal takes on what Characters in a Different Media based on the Said Franchise would look like in a Different Style. Considering that the 90s Movie made its own versions on some of the Mario Characters different, I figure why not do the same with some of the SMG4 Characters if their own LA Movie Counterparts were to be different than the Originals.
Some Info About My Own Personal Takes:
Tumblr media
Meggy - While not looking alike at all with the Cephalopod Humanoid Creatures that we are all familiar with, I wanted to make an attemption of Inklings and Octolings by making them more Merfolk-like with a little spit of some Alien features as if Merfolk Cephalopods look something like Water-themed Aliens that still resembles most Cephalopods in Marine Life (kinda like the Amphibian Man from "The Shape of Water" and other Sea Monsters). Granted, I wanted to make Meggy's Inkling form something like an Actual Cephalopod Mermaid with more Squid/Octo-Like features (she still has the ability to transform into a Squid whenever she can) and as for her Human form, I know it's not very Athlete-like, but just imagine that she's still the same Meggy who can kick ass like a total badass but can still go through her Mer-Squid form whenever she want too. Also, Yeah, the Inklings and Octolings in this AU (while being Merfolk instead of looking more Humanoid) have the ability to transform into Humans for disguises whenever they go on land (so techincally think of it as in AU where if Meggy never lost her Inkling form).
Tumblr media
SMG4 and SMG3 - Eh, not much about these designs. Let's just say I sorta redesign the New Designs of them by making them look close to how Mario and Luigi are depicited in the '93 film but I used accepts of more of their Real-Life Counterparts considering those Guys are indeed their Main Avatars to their own Fictional Mario World. I also gave SMG3 a sockhead instead of a Plumber Hat.
Tumblr media
Melony - Considering that the Zelda franchise has Fantasy aspects, I wanted to make Melony look more like those Elf/Fairy-types of Creatures considering that she was turned as a Human by the Fierce Deity Mask. Say that she's sorta of a Fairy type inspired by the Nymphs of Greco-Roman Mythology, I also wanted to add in some Pink Flowers in her Hair while making her Wear a Forest-Fairy themed dress like most Fairies in Folklore (minus the Wings). As for the Real Inspiration for the Ears and even the Eyes, I mainly went with one of the Cult 80s Classics, "The Dark Crystal" by making Melony be inspired by the Gelfling characters in that Franchise; https://darkcrystal.fandom.com/wiki/Gelfling Axol - As far as Artists go throughout the Years, I wanted to make Axol look like some 90s Artist who can still draw Characters and Comics. Despite being born in Inkopolis in SMG4 Canon, in the 90s Movieverse, I can imagine him being born from a Sailor Family who had a passion for Art and even moves to Japan just like how did in the Original Series (so needless to say I did kept the Japan part of his life but for his Birthplace since Inklings and Octolings are Merfolk in this AU, Axol would have to be born in a Family of his near the Ocean at his own Beachouse where Inklings and Octolings still roam around the Seas). I also gave him one piercing in one of his earrings and let's just say that the badges that he wears are Buttons of Classic Anime Icons (like Goku from Dragon Ball or Sailor Moon).
Tumblr media
Boopkins - Considering that most of the Mushroom Kingdom residents in the 90s version look nothing like their own actual counterparts from the Game, I had to make Boopkins a Human just like how the '93 Movie went. I know that Fishy Boopkins is based off of Spike (considering that he does appear in the Movie) but I actually wanted to make Boopkins look different from Spike like he's his own Actual Character. I went with the Blonde Hair and Green Eyes to resemble how he looks, I also gave him a Shirt that has a Fish on it considering that he's a Sea Creature but he's still the Guy who bonds with Sea Creatures and Anime. Bob - Like the Original, he is a Garo but I tend to take some inspirations off of the Garo Master from the Zelda Franchise. So like how that the Movie Goombas are, I wanted to make Bob's species look even more different by having them look something like the Skeksis from "The Dark Crystal" (hint by that Bird face which looks something like a Plague Mask and even the Reptellien-like tail), I also took one accept from his New Design by having him wear a Bandana around his Neck. I also gave Bob some pupils that would make it look extra Creepy.
Tumblr media
Tari - I wanted to make her look something like a 90s Gamer by the tell of the Gloves and even that Outfit (which has the Rubber Duck on it), I also gave her Brown Hair and Blue Eyes with some little Blue diet on her Short Hair to still resemble on how she actually looked. In an addition, I also gave her a Heart necklace to resemble her own kindness. Saiko - Since she's a Bad Girl judging by her own name which translates to "Psycho Bitch", I wanted to make her look more Punk-like with a Few More Spikes to resemble her own Style and even have a Skull wearing a Bowtie on her own Top Shirt. I also gave her a Pink Eyeshadow since Pink is her Main Color but has for her Hair diets, I cut them off and made most of her Hair more Pink and even replace the Bowties for the Pigtails with a Headband that has a Bow on her head (I also gave her a piercing on her Nose). Imagine her living on the Streets like she's part of some Punk Gang who's got a Weapon of a Baseball Bat instead of a Giant Hammer.
Tumblr media
Swag and Chris - Ok so much like how that the Mario Bros are depicited in the Film to resemble their Original Counterparts, I wanted to do the same for both Swagmaster and Chris, only instead, they work as Police Offiers working at a Police Department but are still are Security Guards like how they are in the Original Series. Swag almost looks like the same as his OG Self but for Chris, I added an Eyepatch on his own Scared Eye cause I thought it would be cool and I also gave him a little Tattoo that's meant to resemble Black Fire if you can at least spot the Other Addition that I added in. Shroomy - Easy as peasy, I made him wear a Different Scout Outfit to resemble his OG Self, though for the Hair color, he's still a Redhead like Meggy but I also gave him some Freckles as a relfection to some of his Spots from his own Mushroom head but even the Hair Bangs is mainly the real reflection behind his Actual Mushroom head.

Mythical Creature AU - Part 1/3 │ Diabolik Lovers
Hey I am posting? Insane right. This is for Halloween since I am kinda bored (wrote that in two days while writing an OC halloween one shot for friends haha). This is Part 1/4, the others will be posten on the next few days!!! Here is a little overview of how Mermen/Sirens work in this universe~
Mermen - Strictly fresh water creatures, they will drown in salt water. Their tales are smaller than Sirens but their fins are larger in comparison. They have more vibrant and light colours.
Siren - Sirens are salt water creatures and drown in fresh water. Other than their fresh water counterpart they eat mostly humans and are natural predators with an alluring outside and ability to switch genders, though it drains their energie quite a bit.
Next -> Shu, Yuma
Kou
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mermaid
Kou has a light blue tail with flowy fins on either side and one large one, similar to a butterfly betta on the end. The ends are a cream white and it seems to spread further with each year passing
He lives in a lake in Romania where he found shelter after escaping the facility he was experimented on. He doesn't quite remember how exactly he got there but remembers a man with white hair carrying him to the water to help him heal his wounds. Since then he hasn't left the lake, thinking that this is a safe place
Only locals know about his presence and he gets offerings quite often as they think of him as a sort of deity. That is until a few hunters trace the lake for him and take him hostage
He wakes up in a tank in a living room not being able to go up for air except for scheduled times
The room is full of sketches of mermaids, about their skeletons and general autonomy
A man explains how important his scales are and that he made a nice decoration. The man soon introduces himself as Reiji Sakamaki, a known hunter for mythical creatures and collector of the such
He speaks sufficient Romanian but Kou knows they aren't in Romania. Outside of communication with him, he talks a language he never heard of
Kou misses the people admiring him and soon begins to just lay on the ground, that is until a strange young man enters
He smells something similar to mermaids but Kou doesnt quite know what it is
That man, later revealing himself as Shin Tsukinami, explains to Kou that he is a Siren and far superior to Freshwater creatures like Mermaids
Kou still follows him as they try to find where he comes from though it gets interrupted by his singing getting more and more recognition until he becomes a popstar though his English is still broken (he later learns the common language mythical creatures use which only takes him a week with the help of one of Shins spells as he was too frustrated to teach him)
Shin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Siren
Shin comes from a prestigious family tree of Sirens living in the North sea/German sea that, due to constant boat traffic and the two wars, got completely wiped out
He and his brother reside in a small town in England and only rarely go back to the sea, though still believing themselves to be the strongest of them all as their so called “original merfolk” and have abilities others lost over time
His tale is a dark blue with a shorter and see through thin at the end a spiky thin going over the entire back of his tail. Dark blue scales cover his body and he posses a row of slightly sharper teeth than normal for humans or other merfolk
He knows about the people that are after him and his brother but tries to make ties with half breds as he calls them
That is also how he sees Kou for the first time
Reiji is known to be a collector type but he didn't think he would keep an actual mermaid
For a second he thought about abandoning the guy as punishment for even being so careless as to get caught but ultimately cant and saves him, almost getting killed in the process
Kou helps his injuries but Shin finds out quite quickly that this mermaid isn't as humble as the ones he came to know before and in fact even matches his sassiness
He promises to help him  find where he came from though it turns into him catching feelings. Shin tries to not show it but after they meet Subaru he gets so jealous that he starts killing people and blame it on the Mermaid living in the lake, getting Subaru killed and Kou believing he is a bad person
Shin believes Kou looked through his act for a long time as they start travelling the world together to find that lake and maybe Kous origins, what slowly begins to nag at his sanity until he snaps and pulls Kou into the salt water, slowly drowning him
Subaru
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mermaid
Subaru is the first person they encounter in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. He is the descendant of a mermaid commonly called the Lorelei
He doesn't live far away from the kliff she is said to have killed herself after she caused many man to change their course into the rock formation upon seeing her beauty
He hates the way those men lusted after his mother and lives alone until they come along and how it caused him to be raised by a friend of the family, though he doesn't really talk to the old man anymore. Subaru vaguely knows about a promise that he made to his mother, that if people should die because of Subaru he were instructed to end his life instantly
His tale is completely white and eerily similar to Kous, though significantly smaller fins
He doesn't like talking and mostly resides in the depths of the river sleeping in an undiscovered small cave. Kou, who is able to breathe underwater other than Shin tries to find answers and is very persistent about it
He often talks about how Subaru has everything he would want and still acts like a spoiled brat because his mommy died and wasn't a good person. They still somehow get along and get closer. This caused Subaru to be out more.
They spend a lot of time together and Subaru opens up to Kou but all that gets interrupted by sudden deaths around the area. First it was guys and then turned into women and even children that drowned in the part of the river. DUe to this happening in the span of a few weeks, his caretaker takes matters into his own hands as he promised his mother and shoots Subaru at the top of the cliff

I made this a little bit ago for MerMay and the fact that "The Little Mermaid" live action movie is coming out soon.
Lambert was once a merfolk with a fish tail and a normal life. But when he was sacrificed, The One Who Waits grants him life anew if he becomes a sea warlock and build a cult under the deity's name. Lambert accepts, gaining the Red Crown and his fish tail transforms into tentacles.
After a while, he comes across Jhula, a mermaid he had his eye on even before his death. He tries to seduce her into joining his cult, but Jhula is wary, wanting to get away. Even thinking of hiding somewhere on the surface. He still drags her back and forces her to join. Though she's basically a prisoner, Lambert still tries to court Jhula
In this AU, Lambert is a bit of a Yandere. He's possessive and obsessive, but he would never hurt Jhula. Jhula has a fascination with the surface and often dreams about gaining legs and going above. She'll be furious and will try to escape a lot. But she'll soon see that Lambert really isn't a bad guy. Just took things too far.

Fortunetelling On Sea Stars (Our Future Will Never Leave The Depths)
by Anonymous
Wilbur blew a bubble in excitement. He was doing it. He wasn't going to let fear or judgment stop him.
But first, he needed advice. There was only one person he could get good advice from- the wisest mer in the ocean. The Interpreter of Her Will.
Usually, a siren like Wilbur wouldn't take a single word from a mer to be worth more than a chunk of rotting coral, and mer likewise to sirens; sirens saw mer as uppity little brats who hid behind the blessings of the Goddess of the Sea, while mer saw sirens as violent heathens who stole magic not gifted to them in order to survive. The feud between the two went in and out of outright war. Sirens would have easily killed out the smaller, weaker, less magical mer ages ago, if it weren't for Her intervention.
But Wilbur didn't care about that!
OR; Wilbur is a siren with a question only the ocean can answer. And the only way to ask the ocean anything is to ask the Interpreter.

Top 10 supernatural creatures you would write
Ask me my "TOP 5/TOP 10" anything!
Generally speaking, I'm open to writing supernatural creatures / AUs in any and every case, even though I don't have supernatural verses listed on my muse info. I don't have a ton of experience writing them and I'd say I am pretty bad at writing non-humans, but hey, I'm open to it. So, let's just list some creatures that come to mind that I'd be open to (it's not limited to these though):
Witch
Fairy
Ghost / Spirit
Merfolk / Siren
Angel / Nephilim
Demon
Vampire
Werewolf (I dunno shit about A/B/O and knotting though so be patient)
Shapeshifter / Changeling
Demigod / Deity Reincarnation

Just had another thought for a different AU while reading this fic.
Siren/Mer reader who is out living life in the ocean and are unfortunately alone. Since merfolk are normally social creatures and how they salty in pods I think Reader has a longing loneliness after so long just staying in their territory. They could also be an outcast of their old pod because of characteristics they have that no other Mer would really have that would be considered unnatural and wrong. Now I have two different ways on how reader meets sun and moon:
1) sun and moon are humans (bonus if they are pirates) and they’re out at sea with their brothers eclipse (or eclipse could be another Mer that already knows Sun and Moon). Reader is tangled in a net by accident and they help free reader. The reader is unsure around them all but they stay near the ship and eventually they make friend with sun.
2) I’m gonna take some inspiration from our shapeshifter AU here and say that Sun and Moon could be these deity like leviathans who come across reader at some point. We can probably say that for their species they could be considered young compared to their big brother Eclipse who is way older than them (Sun and Moon are probably 1,000-12,000 years old and Eclipse is around 28,400-32,500 years)
I feel that the reader being separated from his kind by something bad is very cliche, maybe change it to something a little more positive where he seeks adventure and discovering the world? Living as a wandering creature that accompanies the whales wherever there is more food, unafraid of the dark waters and knowing they are far from home, but have a place to return to that keeps them strong.
I don't know which idea I like better, I think Sun and Moon being pirates is pretty cool. There are quite a few fictions where Sun and Moon are the mermaids, so the reader being the one in the water is a nice change. I personally love pirate and mermaid stories.
I could recommend Tales of Calliope in Ao3? It's more of a Found Family story but it gave me the idea that the reader would eventually become a great mermaid who takes care of a ship, but before that there is a lot of personal growth in the relationships with the captains, those two men saved her life and were kind, so the reader is willing to do the same once danger presents itself. Perhaps that is the adventure the reader was looking for, one with love and kindness but with the thrill of the dangers of tomorrow.

Hmm. The way I approach worldbuilding is different for everything I do, and if there are similarities or crossovers, I do like to have cheeky nods to that, because otherwise everything is a separate world (but the way I write, there's always multiple worlds and layers of reality -- the future will haunt the present as much as the past does because they are not separate except space is, to some degree). Everything coexists, and so I suppose I also have consistent lore that spans every single one of my works in that way, however, I treat the actual worldbuilding of each separate world differently.
Let's see if I can explain it more clearly.
Take, for example, Blood Upon The Snow, which is a Skyrim x TLH crossover fanfic. It is both an AU branching off canon where events from the TLH series unfolded differently, and takes place in Skyrim, which has its own set of worldbuilding, and so I have to find a middle ground to combine the two pieces of media and their separate mythologies/rules/etc. And the way I utilise the existence of a multiverse is different too -- I usually have greater beings that conduct the universal orchestra, in a sense, and they will shift depending on the story. In BUTS (...interesting), we're dealing with (semi-spoilers ahead) beings that shift between what TLH readers know as Greater Demons/Princes of Hell, and what in Skyrim are Daedric Princes. This implies the continued existence of demons or demon-like beings throughout the dimensions.
Then, let's take a look at the worldbuilding for my original series, Moralis. Also exists on a multiverse level, and each separate dimension has its own worldbuilding and rules. Earth 24 is the most like ours, 42 exists to juxtapose it not just in societal contexts but also its geography where the ocean exists in the sky and forests fill where the ocean should be, and Earth 13 exists in perpetual eclipse and relies on magical farming practices to sustain everything. These are just the most notable ones. E24 follows our rules: no unicorns, no mermaids, little to no magic in general. E42, by contrast, is brimming with magical life, and thus requires its own systems of law and governance to be managed (and in a much more reasonable system than whatever Ministry of Magic middle grade fantasy BS has going on), and merfolk, fair folk, giant folk, werecreatures, and vampires exist. Vampirism is a disease, however, rather than a distinct species. E13 has a magic that is not like E42 -- it's a product that can be made rather than something in the air that exists already. There's also gods/deities/celestial beings, but they're of a more vague nature than, say, Princes of Hell and Daedra, and they take up residence in either multiple places at once of just a single chosen area.
Then look at my other fanfic When Prometheus Gave Us Fire And The Gods Stole It Back, which, while yes, it does deal with demons and religion just the same as TLH canon, I've interpreted it differently and changed the lore of how things close to "vampires"/"demons" work. It has to do with a lack of the "fire" that makes humanity, and it deals with both Christianity and Greek mythology. Again, it exists on a multiversal level since we can physically visit places like Hell or the Underworld, but it operates on different rules and lore compared to other works of mine. Vampirism is still a sort of disease, but it has a more supernatural and occult lens, whereas in Moralis it's treated more like an STD than a plague that seems to pick and choose its afflicted victims. And not all other myths exist to the same extent.
Finally, my original standalone Wolfhound operates again in a different world, at different points in time, and with completely different settings and supernatural lore. No vampires, not-quite-werecreatures, no fair folk. There are references to their myths/stories, but they don't exist. Instead, we have other supernatural creatures mutated into grotesque beings through a curse on the land they live. There's an infectious disease element to the things that mutate, but that's where the similarities to other worldbuilding pretty much end. The world is a lot more steampunk than others I've done.
It's obvious by this point, but all my works have similar elements, themes, and inspirations. I do separate worldbuilding for each though because it often is custom made to fit the specific story I want to tell. This is my way, but it's by no means the right way to do things. I could tell dozens of stories using the same worldbuilding that E42 has in my Moralis series alone, and each of those stories would be fine on their own like that, just using the same, I guess, "game mechanics". I mean, we've seen authors like Tolkien do the same before. So, I don't think readers would find it weird. If they choose to interpret all your works happening in the same universe since they use the same mechanics/worldbuilding, all the power to them, it'll just power fanfics. I don't think there's much of a problem there. However, the sacraments and ordinances may need repetitive explaining? You never know where every single reader is starting.
Personally, when I've read authors who do different worlds for different stories, it's made the most sense to me and I guess that's where I also adopted it. It's when you use the same worldbuilding rules that you perhaps might want to explain more about that, whether everything does exist simultaneously or not. Otherwise, I can see that potentially getting confusing at times, as much as I also think it's not a weird thing to do. I mean, it's where the fanfics and fan theories would come in if it's unexplained, but that's why I point out there'd be questions about a few things. You can even have a "brand" of worldbuilding, like I've established above, and not use every bit of it all throughout everything.
Again, everyone is different, and there is no right way to do things here.
i realize i keep on using the same magic system for all of my writings. which, i guess, is on one hand objectively fine: i don't have to invent something new every single time which saves time and energy for me, therefore also i don't have to teach my readers a new magic system every time, and it's well put together—while not necessarily the most original, it doesn't feel like it needs to be, it's good and grounded and the point is it's supposed to feel only barely out of reach, like something the readers could touch, something your grandma would pull out of the back of a recipe book. the issue though is a) i don't know if it might be weird for readers coming from one world to another and finding the same system, and b) i worry it relies too much on people knowing how sacraments/ordinances in churches work.
tagging @alastairstom @tleeaves @chaosandtwo and @echow334 because you feel like people who'll have good thoughts/opinions on worldbuilding.

What are all the Deities AUs so far? And what are some of your personal headcannons?
Ah, well I’ve never made an official count or list of DEITIES AUs / crossovers before now, I kinda just… make them up as I think of them, or as others’ bring them up??? But of the ones I know that I’ve shared on the blog or elsewhere, or that I’ve mused about myself, I can present the following under the cut, with the ones in bold that have links to their own tags.
Keep in mind that most of these are AUs that I muse about on my own or with friends, and in my personal free time. There are a few that I may hopefully explore for fun (after I resume my main activity with, y'know, the main story >>) and others are small niche AUs that may not be explored in depth, but they’re all fun to think about regardless. Just fair warning to not expect me to spill ALLLLLLLLL the headcanons I have in a row if you ask, I don’t have the stamina for it right now, but I may consider doing an AU ask theme later whenever I do…
[1] DEITIES x Pokemon AU – This AU combines my two loves and can easily be divided into several sub-AUs all its own – Deities as pokemon trainers? Deities as pokemon / pokemon gijinka? Deities as gym leaders? DEITIES but everyone has sacred pokemon forms?? PMD!DEITIES?? THIS ONE IS TRUE AU GOLD THAT NEVER RUNS OUT–
[2] DEITIES x Harry Potter – More specifically, I think of the “Deities at hogwarts” scenario in this AU, so DEITIES cast as students in their respective houses, their best subjects, their sacred animal as their patronus – one time someone asked about their ideal quidditch positions, and well, I tried.
[3] DEITIES x Avatar the Last Airbender – Specifically like, the DEITIES as element-benders or non-benders within the ATLA world. It’s a tough one because certain DEITIES would do well in multiple elements (Set as a lightning(fire)-bender or sand(earth)-bender??), but I try to stick to the ATLA lore and keep to one. No idea who the avatar would be tho…
[4] DEITIES Business AU – Admittedly, this is one that I shared with a friend, I would need to check with her to see if she minded me sharing certain details. But think of the whole pantheon as part of a big company, with the Royal Family as the top “chief officer” positions (CEO, CCO, CFO, COO, etc.), and other staff/interns in said company (plus chairman!Ra).
[5] DEITIES Mafia AU – Or crime syndicate, whichever is the better term?? Just think The Contendings but as a modern struggle between 2 opposing crime families/gangs. And knives and firearms, ofc.
[6] DEITIES Merfolk AU – Self-explanatory. Also technically not far removed from canon; some deities could transform their hybrid features to resemble merfolk if they really wanted to. I just, need to actually draw it out–
[7] Genderbent!DEITIES – Also self-explanatory, and also technically not far removed from canon, since deities can change their gender expression however it suits them. I don’t explore this too deeply though, I just like to imagine what their designs might look like, and how the dynamics in The Contendings might shift with Set and Horus as dueling goddesses, etc.
[8] Modern!DEITIES – Really just any scenario where the DEITIES are living in modern time. I like the version where it’s basically canon DEITIES in the farrrrrrrrrrrrrr future where everyone is at least 5000+ years old, fully adapted to contemporary society and living it up in the 21st century.
[9] DEITIES School/Gakeun/College AUs – Self explanatory, and a riff from Modern!DEITIES. Either the DEITIES cast as students or as teachers/profs/staff, or some combination.
[10] DEITIES Musicians / Band AU – Related to Modern!DEITIES but with all the deities as musicians, specializing in different instruments or vocals! Or alternatively, deities in an INDIE ROCK BAND or something!! Haven’t revisited it in a while though, or settled on which instruments suit them best.
[11] DEITIES Cirque AU – Think “Cirque du Soleil” or any modern circus with the DEITIES as skilled performers with different acts. But I also shared this AU with a friend who I’ll have to double check with.
[12] DEITIES Olympics AU – EVERY OTHER YEAR I wanna draw the deities participating in Summer Games or Winter Games as Olympic athletes in their respective sports and events, and I never have the time. BUT IF I DID!!! YEAH….
[13] DEITIES Vacations – Modern!DEITIES going on destination vacations “because they can” and to bring the whole pantheon together once in a while. Disney/Themeparks was the one someone recently brought up that I had in the back of my mind, but other attractions at applicable as well. I also had Las Vegas, NYC, and Hawaii in mind as well, with plenty of room for other destinations and countries-outside-the-US as well.
[14] DEITIES… futurepunk?? cyberpunk?? – IDK THE CORRECT TERM BUT basically the DEITIES storyline for The Contendings, but instead of Ancient Egypt, it’s “Ancient Egypt” if it had survived several millennia in the future – with modern advancement and technology in place of magic. I have more ideas regard this AU, but in the event someone else is planning to do a similar epic, I’ll keep my details underwraps for a bit until I can explore it myself
(Additional note: I’m not super invested in -punk AUs but I could acknowledge things like steampunk!DEITIES, dieselpunk!DEITIES, solarpunk!DEITIES, etc.)
[15] DEITIES In-game / Gaming AUs – Basically the DEITIES cast following the mechanics and designs of different game series I like, vicariously or otherwise – including Sonic (sanic!DEITIES and sanic teams), Splatoon (Inkling/Octoling DEITIES), Animal Crossing (DEITIES as animal neighbors), Super Smash Bros (The cast as SSB fighters), Overwatch (the cast maining different heroes) and, most recently, Dragalia Lost (Adventurer!DEITIES who tURN INTO DRAGONS…!).
[16] DEITIES Holiday Designs – Not really an AU, just the DEITIES cast in festive designs for certain holidays on the blog, purely for fun. So far we have Halloween DEITIES and their transformations; Set transformed as one of santa’s reindeer; and Set’s “B-day” for Valentines day (which, I really attribute to the kemetic community for that one, I just participated with Set drawings haha;;)
[17] DEITIES Crossovers – most of the AUs I mentioned are crossover, but here I mean when I or someone else crossover’s our stories or casts for non-canon fun. On my end, so far I’ve drawn Set as a demon from Koolaid’s Living When Dead, and the Set Spawn running into some other smol familiars. Also drawn a few other crossovers with those who drew me amazing giftart in years past.
[18] Other Personal AUs – Any of the other dozen AUs that I already indulge in with my group of friends and our personal OCs, but with the DEITIES cast as a cameo. You’d have to sift thru my personal artblog with my OCs to understand most of them (and some of them aren’t even publicly posted yet), but they  include, but are not limited to: Mythical!gijinka, Fantasy AU, vampire/lycan/witches AU, demons/angels (and the related deadly sins/heavenly virtues) AU… that’s about it that I haven’t mentioned before jskdfsdf

Sitting on the damp boardwalk, watching the moonlit ocean, you felt as though the days stresses were finally starting to melt away.
Ever since you had moved here, it had become a habit of yours to come to this secluded little cove of a night, just as the moon had risen high in the sky. Despite the grim myths that surrounded it, you couldn’t help but find comfort here, where only the moon and the ocean were here to bear witness to your pain.
It certainly helped that the fear the townsfolk had of this place, meant that there was no risk of anyone ever hearing you sing.
And sing you certainly did.
Accompanied by the soft sound of the waves, and the gentle echoes caused by the cove itself, you would sing your heart out to the ocean and the moon before you, letting it hear everything you were too afraid to say to anyone else. In this place, you sang of your pain, and your sorrow, your hopes, and your dreams, your voice clear and full of emotion. And every time you left with just a little bit less of a weight on your chest, and just enough strength to get through the following day.
For months you had been doing this, and for months you had thought yourself completely alone in this place where you shared your innermost thoughts.
Never had you stopped to consider that the myths might be true.

Deity AU Trivia Facts–Part 3 Including Notes
Beastfolk and merfolk and even fae do exist in this world, but each species has varying degrees of rarity with humans being very common. To compare each one to a card rarity, it would be as follows: beastfolk (rare/R), merfolk (super rare/SR), and fae (ultra rare/SSR). While this is to get an overall idea on how likely you’d be to find one, it’s important to keep in mind that this can also be region based as well as where they choose to live. It is much easier to spot a beastman in a crowd of humans than it is to spot a mermaid disguised as a human.
A/N: I’d like to point out  that species does not determine or restrict which deity one chooses to worship. While there are some families who choose to be devout followers of one specific deity, at the end of the day all the deities want is for their followers to be happy. If they can’t grant the mortal spiritual contentment, it is okay to find one who does–essentially allowing room to grow and find their path. It’s not uncommon for someone to worship more than one deity or even more than one pantheon though!
As the God of Souls, Ortho not only remembers each soul–he can recognize each one in a heartbeat. With just a single glance (or a scan), he can identify each soul within a mortal and recall their past life (or lives) as well as what ended them. He mourns the souls that were lost due to fading out of existence or were consumed by the Curse. Simultaneously, the creation of a new soul is a cause for celebration! If a mortal first meets Ortho after becoming aware of the existence of deities, it won’t be too surprising for him to get excited and launch into a series of questions to get an idea on how they’re doing and what can be done to take care of not just their mortal “vessel”, but also their soul.
While Ortho and the first years are considered the youngest of the deities (minus Cheka, who is the youngest half-deity), there hasn’t been any new full-blooded deities born in thousands of years. In ancient times, the Ancient Gods learned how to create new deities by the Heavenly Ones before their disappearance, diligently maintaining the balance of the world before they too vanished without a trace–taking the knowledge with them. No one–not even Lilia, who bore witness to the birth of every major and minor deity–knows the recipe or conditions required.
There is a highly dangerous group of worshipers that have existed since the time of the Great Darkness, consisting of mortals who idealize the power of the ones they believe to be the "True Gods" while they see the current deities as "False Gods". Working in the shadows, no one knows how far they're willing to go to achieve their goals to bring back the dark gods--only they will sacrifice any who get in their way. Though they walk the earth as mortals and hide their true nature by day, by night they behave little more than the phantoms that hunt the souls of others...and perhaps in a way, they may very well be. Who knows what secrets they hide...?
A/N: There are two paths that you can choose for your character/Yuu/MC in your story: one is the main path (aka the idea I've got in mind and will go into detail later when I discuss the staff), the other is where your character/Yuu/MC has been reincarnated multiple times over the centuries just like any other mortal, yet still somehow finds a way back to the deities. Will the deities remember who they were before, or will aspects of Yuu's/MC's past lives slip through and remind them of a friend they lost...and the friend they've gained? The choice is yours~ >w>
If you choose to go with the main route/idea, the hint I will give is that the Reader’s/Yuu’s/MC's soul is highly “unusual” to Ortho, with him claiming it is “whole, yet…incomplete.” He is working to uncover the reason for this, but is being thwarted at every turn. Another factor that frustrates him is that he has no record of their soul’s history. It’s almost as if their soul just simply…appeared out of thin air.
Overall, this AU is meant to be a mix of comfort, slice of life, and adventure and angst. While there are major plot points, I'm also just as happy to see you guys just enjoying the lighter side of this AU! UvU

Verses List
I know that I have a lot of verses and I know it’s a mess to keep track of which is which sometimes, but I decided to scatter all my verses together and divide them accordingly in a way that you can easily blacklist them if so desired with a very small info about it for those interested! This list will be updated as the verses are added/removed. You can also take this as a small guide through my verses!
Note: listing the crossover verses accordingly doesn’t mean that I will stop using the correct tagging for those who doesn’t want to see content from said fandom over my blog. Tumblr has the constant problem of not tagging blacklisted tags accordingly, so it would be a good idea to blacklist the verses tags too as a safety method and precaution.
Tumblr media
Main Timeline
— Main (not tagged): High Tide resides on Earth around the oceans afloat in his ship, occasionally docking on land to meet the others. He spends some extra time over Griffin Rock since it’s his main earthling residence canonically, but he’s mostly found in the ocean either in his submarine form or inside his ship
— Bittersweet and Strange / Past-war verse: A verse residing before war striked Cybertron, considered to be the so called Golden Era; High Tide can be found using his blue lenses for the sake of his trauma and insecurity as he now resided in Iacon
— Way back Home / Post-war verse: The war is over, Autobots finally won the war and Cybertron gets to raise again. High Tide tends to visit his home planet once in a while for the good memories and seeing how the restoration is going on to see if he can help somehow, but his main goal is to explore lo and behold through other planets as the spacefairing mech he once wanted to be as the opportunity to do so was never achieved until this very moment
— Being a Marine Biologist / Human verse: Resides on High Tide hiding himself in his holoform and trying to learn more from humans, disguising himself as a captain and having marine biologist as a bonus ‘profession’
— The Killing Machine / Gladiator arc verse: A verse specifically made for the time High Tide spent in the arenas acting like a gladiator for a certain period of time before war in many different cities, his biggest achievements (and unfortunately trauma) happening in Kaon’s main arena
Tumblr media
Canon divergence
— Teacher? Again? / RBA verse: During some events of R.escue B.ots A.cademy, High Tide was called to teach the younglings about proper water rescues just like he did before with the main team
— I don't recognize this place... / IDW verse: Focused even so slightly on IDW comics franchise, a bit more specifically on MTMTE/LL which I have yet to read it all
— Temporary Second Commander / TFP verse: Since Ultra Magnus had the misfortune of his hand destroyed by Predaking and other damages aside, the team agreed to call High Tide over to be a commander until Ultra Magnus gets a full recovery
— I hate how tall the Cons are / Animated verse: This is a completely different verse that has no big connections towards the alignment series. Despite High Tide being one of the tallest bots from the Autobots (only losing for Bulkhead), the Decepticons still intimidates him a little
Tumblr media
AUs (Alternative Universes)
— Divinity of Waters / GodFormer AU: Instead of being a normal Cybertronian, he’s now presented as a Deity that resides in large portions of water like oceans, presenting a merfolk kind of body and being able to mass shift in order to change his size at any presented time. The name High Tide was brought to him by outsiders, not by him since he considered himself to not have a name since the beginning of his existence
— Masked Warrior / Knight AU: High Tide is now presented as a knight in shining armor, his face never to be revealed to anyone he doesn’t have a certain level of trust involved. He’s extremely loyal to his superiors, doing everything possible to complete his mission and to keep the other’s safe. This verse can also happen in any fairytale-like/royalty-like setting for convenicence sake
— I'm deeply sorry for your new body. It was all my fault / ChiefBot AU: a small AU between me and @memoriiae where High Tide blames himself deeply for failing on protecting Chief Charlie and now he has to spend the rest of his life knowing that ChiefBot was now there to stay
Tumblr media
Crossovers
— Into a Mystery / MSA verse: High Tide ended up traveling to another dimension after his dog, but both of them ended up stuck in that dimension and now they have to stay with a weird group in a very unusual place
— In a Fairy Tale / Fantasy verse: A verse that goes around famous fairytale tropes, circulating around royalty, magical creatures, talking animals and more! In this specific verse, High Tide is stuck on his 6'2ft size for the sake of interacting more with this magical world
— Feeling Determined / Undertale verse: This verse is still a work in progress!
— This better not be a wormhole! / ISWM verse: High Tide assumed himself to be the captain of a spaceship crew, of course trying as hard as he can to not yell at Mark whenever a wormhole hit their spaceship
— Across the Galaxy / Star Wars verse: Coming from a different galaxy and planet, High Tide was mistakenly classified as an android and now has to spend his time with the Skywalkers until a better classification is presented
— Ahoy and Avast in the Greatest Space! / Treasure Planet verse: Having the title of Captain Armstrong through the galaxies he decided to resign from his captain position and try to be in a crew as only Tide the crewmate to hide his identity
— I'm not a Robot / FNAF verse: Taking place before the last released game, High Tide changed his designation to Circus Tide in for being able to disguise as a 6'5ft f.untime animatronic and using a bowtie to module down his voice
— Am I a Superstar? / Security Breach verse: After being transferred to Mega Pi.zzaplex, Circus Tide got an upgrade to be 6'9ft tall animatronic that roams around the place without a main attraction or anything else really in mind, but one of his abilities consists in fixing other animatronics better than humans could do so
— Everybody Scream / Horror verse: The Entity took a hold of our sea mech unexpectedly, shoving him out to a whole new dimension and shrinking him down to 6'2ft through unknown means
— Feels like Home / BH6 verse: High Tide now resides in San Fransokyo, the technology around and how sentient the robots semmed to be making the mech not feel weirded out and strange across that new dimension. His size is still up to debate, maybe around 6'2ft is acceptable or even a few inches taller with Minimi-Watch usage
— Of Hooves and Magic / MLP verse: High Tide decided to visit equestria, assuming the form of unicorn/sea pony. This verse is still a work in progress
— Heart of Crystal; Soul of Gold / Steven Universe verse: This verse is still a work in progress!
— Faster than Light / Sonic verse: This verse is still a work in progress!
— Bizarre on a Standing level / JJBA verse: This verse is still a work in progress!
— Trapped in Ink / BATIM verse: This verse is still a work in progress!
— Digital Body with a Human Mind / TADC verse: After putting a strange headset on, High Tide (named like that after getting in this place) was sent into a whole new digital world with no memories of his previous name, age or how he was like. Maybe he was not even human before getting in here...
